Anti-Frizz

Anti-frizz is a term used to describe a product’s ability to reduce or eliminate a certain type of hair frizz.

Hair naturally contains a particular amount of moisture, which gives it elasticity and softness. When this internal moisture “escapes” (for example, due to excessive heat or chemical treatments), hair becomes dry and prone to small flyaway strands. On the other hand, when the air is humid, hair can absorb external moisture unevenly, causing it to expand, curl, and appear static or frizzy.

Anti-frizz products usually contain ingredients that create a protective layer around the hair shaft, helping to retain moisture and making hair smooth, shiny, and easier to style. They are used as part of a daily hair care routine. Popular products with this effect include shampoos, conditioners, oils, sprays, and hair masks. Depending on the product, they can be applied to either damp or dry hair.

When you see the label anti-frizz, it means the product is formulated to close the hair cuticles, eliminate static electricity, smooth and calm unruly hair, leaving it shiny and elastic.
