For cold use, keep the compress in the freezer for approximately one hour;
For warm use, place the compress in the microwave for 30 seconds (if the pack was previously at room temperature) or 1 minute (if the pack was previously frozen);
If the desired temperature is not reached, continue heating in 10–20 second intervals until the preferred temperature is achieved;
Adjust the heating time according to the power of the microwave;
The compress can also be heated in boiling water for 4–10 minutes;
After 4 minutes, check the temperature every minute until the desired temperature is reached.
