Nail Sculpting

Nail sculpting is one of the most popular techniques for creating artificial nails. It typically involves the use of forms to shape and extend the nail, with acrylic or gel used as the main building material. With the advancement of products and application methods, dual forms are increasingly being used as an alternative to traditional nail forms.

In the gel sculpting technique, the natural nail is first prepped and the form is applied. The desired shape and length are then created by applying the gel. The first layer is cured under a UV/LED lamp. A second layer is used to build the nail structure. After curing the second layer, the sticky layer of gel is wiped off, and the surface is filed and shaped.

In addition to classic builder gel, jelly builder gel and polyacrylic gel can also be used. A recent innovation in the world of nail sculpting is the Veneer technique, which allows for sculpting without forms and without filing.
